PATIENT INFORMATION

Prescription Refills

A $30 fee will be charged for each prescription refill request faxed from your pharmacy.

A better option is the yearly Block Fee option which has more benefits and has been available for several years- see below

Please make sure that *YOUR* favourite pharmacy information is updated and that our office is aware of any changes made.

It is your responsibility to organize your medication refills well in advance of actually running out. We attempt to refill prescriptions as expeditiously as possible, but please do not wait til late in the day or late on a Friday of a holiday long weekend to contact your pharmacy that you are on your last pill!! The time to pull the trigger is when you have 30 pills of your last refill.  Of course if you are on your last couple of pills, please call to book a same day appointment or come in during our twice weekly Walk-In clinic.

All patients on narcotic medications (including, but not limited to Tylenol with Codeine, Codeine, Morphine [Statex, MS Contin, Kadian, etc.] Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, [Dilaudid etc.], Percocet, Endocet, OxyContin, etc.]) will need an appointment to be refilled. As everyone now realizes, long term use of opiods is a serious DANGER tdo your health and every patient using opiods for any reason will be safely and slowly titrated off these dangerous medications.

Similarily in the last several years, the danger of sleeping pills has become apparent and Drs Foster

will be developing procedures to help patients decrease the use of these dangerous medicationsas well.

PRESCRIPTIONS WILL NOT BE APPROVED OVER THE PHONE OR BY THE OFFICE STAFF UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.  DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE RATHER CALL YOUR PHARMACY.
