Symptoms of COVID-19
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. These symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus:
Fever over 38c
Extreme Fatigue
Cough(or worsening of chronic cough)
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Chills
Repeated shaking with chills
Muscle pain
Headache
Sore throat
Diarrhea
New loss of taste or smell(can not smell peanut butter!)
Typical Symptoms
The Omicron variant of COVID-19 typically causes mild cold-like symptoms including a sore throat, nasal congestion possibly fever and a dry cough. Surprisingly many patients are completely without symptoms. Vaccinated people rarely get sick enough een to see a physician. Unfortunately there are still hospitalizations and death from Covid but literally only in the nonvaccinated.
We still do not know why some patients become "Long Haulers" who have persistent symptoms of fatigue and mild cognitive dysfunction for months
The provincial medical officers have changed isolation and quarantine requirements on a frequent basis, so best refer to recent health ministry releases
